Food and only food...probably
So the Coronavirus is keeping me indoors far more than I am used to. I love to cook anyway and decided to use it as a distraction. Enter this blog.
The challenge is to cook a new recipe every day for as long as this social distancing lasts. At least. There are three basic rules:
When I visited Seattle, I noticed a lot of the restaurants had names like The Fainting Goat (great ice cream) or The Fat Hen (yummy breakfast options). I wondered aloud what my restaurant's name would be, if I had one. My niece promptly responded, "The Tipsy Turtle." I have 7. They are not known to imbibe but Murray often tips over in his eagerness to interact with humans.
So here's the blog and soon there will be food pictures and recipes with links. And comments. At least from me. At least they will be relevant to the blog. Which is more than I can say for some of my Facebook friends.
Stay tuned...
The challenge is to cook a new recipe every day for as long as this social distancing lasts. At least. There are three basic rules:
- It cannot be one of my own creations.
- It cannot be a recipe I made before--so it can be a dish I made before but not the same recipe. After all, one does not make one apple pie and never explore the options again!
- It has to be practical--my family has to want to eat it and I have to want to make it. I mean, cheese soufflé is cool but I am not making it for Wednesday dinner.
